EUROSPINE’s mandate is to promote improvements in patient care, find new means to prevent disorders of the spine, foster lifelong learning and research and bring together national spine societies under one umbrella to speak with a united voice.

The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) is both an independent federation of European national neurosurgical societies and a fast-developing association of individual neurosurgeons from around the world. We are a professional community whose aim is to enhance the quality of neurosurgical patient care through training, education, and research. A keyway in which we fulfill this objective is by facilitating the exchange of scientific information at the highest level through the organisation of meetings, symposia, and educational courses – with the annual Congress as our flagship event. This year the EANS2023 Congress (www.eanscongress.org) will take place from 24 to 28 September in Barcelona.
The Brain & Spine (BAS) is our peer-reviewed open-access official journal owned and operated by EANS in partnership with EUROSPINE and published by Elsevier. What began as an exciting project has now evolved into a truly revolutionary endeavor, aiming to make a huge impact in the neurosurgical and spine community. APC fees are waived for all our members until further notice.
